Across the Nullarbor on a Postie Bike

This is what it should look like! With all the luggage and riders the bike will have to pull about 150kgs.

'The Machine' Honda CT110 has been bought and is waiting in Perth for its team.

Boxes, helmets and tent are ready to go.

Preparing the bike in Perth, it was a nice day and about 40 degrees,  this weather kept up for the next few days before we left.

Another nice sunny day in Perth. As we made our departure to Sydney we rode through Kings Park. In the background is Perth City and Swan River.

We're on our way!

We had one night in Gracetown and on the way to Augusta we had a quick look at the beach but unfortunately we had no time to go for a swim.

Quick stop for fuel, some oil, chain lube and to check the tire pressures of the bike at the petrol station and we saw our future transport.

Augusta.. Our second stop on the trip. The bike has been going well, better than us. We are still trying to sort out our riding positions and get used to such a small bike. 310 k's down and over 4,000 to go!

The road into Augusta

Trying to relax after a painful day on the bike, will we get used to such a cramped riding style!

On the way to Kojonup the scenery was nice and the weather was good.

Day 5 and on our way to Ravensthorpe  and we seen interesting melons in the  fields.

So what are they??

Nice friendly Aussie snake.

On the road again and next stop will be Esperance. We are looking forward to a days rest!

Native flora.

More flora.

Interesting scenery with the trees in the dried lake.

After the rest day and bike check in Esperance we where ready to leave and attack the Nullarbor. Unfortunately there was no sun and only a lot of rain. This was not good for us because we packed lite and didn't have any wet weather clothes :(

The bike got a flat tyre on the way to Norseman so in the cold and rain I did an inner tube swap as quickly as possible.  It couldn't of happened on a worse day!

Maria packing! After spending the night with the heater on flat out to dry all the clothes we are ready to hit the road, just hope it dosn't rain again cause it still looks overcast. Fingers crossed.

Nothing, just road, bush and the little bike.

On the Nullarbor and not bored yet. There is animal spotting to be done.

This is what we've been waiting for, a nice long stretch. We have now settled into our riding positions but still it has been overcast and a bit chilli. Average speed is about 60 kms/hr so we will just cruise this stretch.

Quick tank up! The distance are sometimes long between servo's and with the small petrol tank we have had to carry an extra 5 litres of fuel to get us between the petrol stations.
